Transition Center

The Open Door of Delta operates a 9 bed transitional housing center. This center allows residents a safe place to live, with no fees, while they work on goals to help them become independent. Our program is a “works” program. This means that each resident must obtain and retain employment as part of their residence agreement. We help the residents budget and save money so that they may reach the ultimate goal of independent living.

While living in our center, the residents must adhere to a set of rules. These include a curfew, keeping the center clean and reporting daily to our staff. If not employed, residents volunteer time to help sort and organize donations for our thrift store.

We offer our residents assistance on, work on resumes and assist with job searches. Our staff supports the residents with shelter, basic needs and mentoring them to reach their goals. Our center does not have emergency housing. All applicants are required to do a prescreen, intake application and background check. Once all information has been received they will be notified. If they are approved a date and time will be assigned for moving in.
